I asure you there is a much more practical decision at play. Pants get caught in bike chains, and pants in bike chains means falling and falling means pain, and pain is not very hip at all...
anywho, my ankles are freezing! i know, i know, i live in Los Angeles. Cold is relative... but this my friends is as cold as i like it. in fact, its a bit much.
